Wedded Bliss

I made this card using one of my new stamps that I've just added to the Paper Jewels store. It's a Spesch stamp called "Wedding". I used the 11th sketch on Splitcoast Stampers and I also entered this card into the Really Reasonable Ribbon challenge, to use ribbon as a border and the challenge on Secret Crafter, to create a wedding or anniversary card.

Paper Sundaes Challenge #23 - Pretty as a Princess

This week's challenge is at Paper Sundaes is to make a card with the "Pretty as a Princess" Theme. I used a Magnolia image for my card and coloured her with copics. I followed the colour challenge from the Color Throwdown - "Navy, coral and celery". The sketch is from splitcoast stampers SC10.

POP-UP CARD TUTORIAL:

In case you'd like to see how to create your own pop-up card. I've created a tutorial for you,
this is my first ever tutorial so if there's anything you need clarified, just fire me an email jlaszlo4@gmail.com and I'll help you out:

Supplies needed:
Score tape,
1x 5.75"x11.5" piece of cardstock,
1x 5.5"x11" piece of cardstock,
1x 5.5"x5.5" piece of patterned paper,
stamps and embellishments.

Take your 5.75"x11.5" piece of cardstock and score it down the middle. I lined it up at the 1/2" mark and made my score at 6" to get the center line.
Next I took my 5.5" x 11" piece of cardstock and scored it's center line as well. I then folded the cardstock down and made score lines at the 1" and 1.5" mark about 2" long and again at the 4" and 4.5" mark about 3/4" long.

I then cut my card stock along those score lines and folded them in, like the photo below.
On the back side of the cardstock, I added score-tape along the edges,
and adhered the inner cardstock to the outer cardstock piece.
Now to add your patterned piece of paper you cut it at 1" and 1.5", 2" long and again at 4" and 4.5", 3/4" long.
You then adhere the patterned paper to your inner piece of cardstock, making your cuts with the pop out section.
Then add your stamped images...
...and embellish as desired.

Monochromatic Swiss Pixie

I made this card for this weeks sketch challenge at Paper Sundaes.

I just love the love of monochromatic cards. I chose peach as my main color because I had a sheet of this gorgeous whitewash cardstock that I've been dying to try. I got it from PaperWorks and I love the way this card turned out, so I have since ordered some in every color! I ran it through my Big Shot with a cuttlebug folder and sanded the embossed areas to have the peach core come through the white. The image I used is Swiss Pixies Nora Butterfly.
