PWCO Friends and Family Blog Hop!

I hope you're enjoying the PaperWorks Blog Hop today, thanks to the terrific list of ladies that have joined in on the fun! If you've come from Natalie's blog then you're on the right track if not, then be sure to start at the beginning with Alice.

My card is a tri-shutter card using the adorable "Puddles of Fun" stamp designed by Rachelle Anne Miller and sold exclusively at PaperWorks Co! I just LOVE this stamp :) The sentiment I used on the inside of the card is included with the stamp too. For the flowers on the front of the card I braided 3 colours of Tulle together, wrapped them around a center point and adhered them to the flowers beneath them. Mostly everything used to make this card is found in the PaperWorks store and I'll include my list of materials used at the bottom of my post, but first I'd like to draw your attention to the AMAZING list of prizes that our lovely Peggy is offering to some lucky hoppers:

Just be sure to leave a comment on everyone's posts throughout the hop as the lucky winners will be randomly chosen from 5 undisclosed (even to us!) blogs. Hop along to Bella's Blog next and in case you get lost along the way, I have the whole hop list posted below.

Blue Rose Tatoo & Paper Sundaes Challenge

This week at Paper Sundaes our sponsor is Spesch Stamps and the challenge was to create a card using a book or poem as your inspiration. I went with "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe" and this card is supposed to represent the White Witch when she was trying to charm Edmund.

I made this card using "Blue Rose Tatoo" found at Paper Jewels. I coloured her with Copics and embellished with pearls and designer paper.

PWCO May Kit

The beauty of this months Paper Card kit from PaperWorks Co is that it can easily be used for scrapbooking too! It comes with a bunch of great borders that are 12" long and fit on a layout nicely, as you can see, I used a few of them here. All supplies used are from the kit except for the 12x12 cardstock that I used for the base of my layout.

PWCO May kit

So this month’s paper card kit from PaperWorks Co is filled with so many fun papers to play with! I really love this designer paper with the colourful circles all over it. Buckley Tinheart fit well here since I love to pair these robots up with buttons and the May kit has lots of buttons in it. I coloured my little robot guy with Copics. The ribbon I used was from the kit as well. We are only half way through the month so that still gives you plenty of time to grab your own May kit to play with!!

Materials Used:

Stamp: PWCO Buckley Tinheart

Cardstock, Designer Paper, Buttons and Ribbon: From the May PaperCard Kit

Copics: G02, G00, G000, G000, R08, R05, R02, YR23, Y23, Y17

So I signed up for another Hippity Hop this week featuring Ippity Stamps. These stamps are from the "What Matters Most" set. I made this card for my daughters First Communion which she'll be receiving in June. I went with Blush Blossom cardstock from Stampin Up! and the gold cardstock and ribbon are from Gina K. I stamped the image and sentiment with Versamark and then heat embossed in gold. To see the list of all the Hop participants click HERE and enjoy all the great creations with these fun stamps!

Paper Jewels Post

For this week I made a card with this sweet Mimosa Umbrella that can be found at Paper Jewels. I chose the colours from this weeks Copic Color Challenge to use BG11, BG02 and R20. I do not own either BG11 or BG02 so I played with the closest colours that I had. Of course I coloured her a couple days ago and can't remember the numbers that I did use, lol. I do have to get better at writing the numbers down when I color things in advance! The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the pearls are from Paper Jewels.

Paper Sundaes Post

This week at Paper Sundaes we're sponsored by Kraftin' Kimmie's. To play along you just need to follow the sketch and you get a chance to win!

PWCO Kit and Customer Blog Hop News!

So because this months May paper card kit from PaperWorks Co came with some cute holiday/traveling type of designer papers, I thought I’d make a cute little backpack with it! I found the tutorial HERE. So you can see that these kits can be used for more then just cards. There are some cute borders included that would be great for scrapbook layouts too!

Materials:

Cardstock, Designer Papers and Brads from the May Paper Card Kit

Red cord

Also, some exciting news!!! PaperWorks Co is having their very first customer blog hop May 28th!! So if you're a fan and friend of PaperWorks then fire Peggy an email peggy@paperworksco.com by May 20th so you can join us in the fun :) The only requirements are to use a PaperWorks stamp from any of their lines. You can see them all HERE. Other then that there are no vendor restrictions and you can create whatever you like.

The Magician

So this weekend is my son's year end dance recital and here are some pictures that I took of the dress rehearsal last night. In the dance my son is a magician and he summons all the bunnies out of the big top hat. It's super cute to see :)

My 1st Ippity Hop

I haven't joined an Ippity hop before, but found out about it from JenMarie and thought I'd give it a try. It's always nice to have an excuse to use some of those stamps that I like to collect, lol. I used these cute mushrooms from the "Because of You" Ippity stamp set. In real life the ribbon matches the cardstock and ink, but for some reason they photograph as very different shades. I always find that the Clean and Simple style works nicely with my Ippity stamps, so that's the look I was going for.

Stop by the Ippity Blog to see the list of participants!

Paper Sundaes Challenge

This week the sponsor over at Paper Sundaes is Belles N Whistles, so I made my card with one of their new summer stamps. The challenge was to use the colours red, yellow and green. I coloured him with Copics and added ribbon, pearls and flowers.

Paper Jewels May Challenge

Here's the card I made for the May Paper Jewels challenge. The challenge was to use the colours Navy, Yellow and Wine. This image is a Sweet Pea called "Love is Gone" by Ching Chou Kiuks and is found at Paper Jewels. I coloured her with Copics and filled in the details with Smooch (Gold Lame and Nautical Navy). Then I added Roses from Wild Orchid Crafts and Tulle and Rhinestones. The Tulle, Copics and Smooch I bought from PaperWorks.
