My first ever quilt!

I have all my card making stuff packed away because we're doing renovations right now, but I still needed to do something crafty, so I thought I'd try my hand at quilting. I signed up for an online class and here's the result of my first lesson. I enjoyed it so much, I'm already well into lesson two, so hopefully I'll get that one done and posted soon :) This quilt is for my 2 year old daughter.

180 Movie

I know I haven't posted in a while and almost all my posts are craft related, however I just wanted to make a quick post to share this movie with you all since I believe it sends a powerful message about an issue that I feel strongly about. Please take a moment to watch it if you haven't seen it yet, but I wouldn't recommend watching it with young children as there are some disturbing images. http://www.180movie.com/

Grad Card for my Cousin

Here's a card I made for my cousin's graduation. I used an Edwin stamp from Magnolia-licious, which is actually called Groom Edwin, but I thought he made a great graduation card. I also entered him into this week's Shopping Our Stash challenge to use, Red, Roses or Ribbon.

Happy Birthday to my Brother-in-law

I made this card for my brother-in-law for his birthday. I used this Spesch stamp called Birthday Boy Unwrapped, which you can find some of these cute stamps still in my store, Paper Jewels, for super cheap, as I'm closing out.

Nurse Abigail

My sister-in-law has been in the hospital, so I decided to make her a card using this adorable Abigail stamp from PaperWorks Co. I also played along in one of their sketch challenges (#92) while I was at it.

What do you think? I need opinions!

I've been busy making these headbands for my girls and I am enjoying it so much, that I thought maybe I should start making a bunch to sell at trade shows. Before I jump into that though, I want opinions on whether or not you would stop and want to buy any of these if you saw them at a trade show and if you feel that $5.00 would be a fair price for each. Don't worry about being honest, I want to know your thoughts! :)

Thanks so much for your help!

PWCO Colour Challenge # 5

This was the first card and my favorite of the ones I made for the PaperWorks Challenges. This one was made using Janet's colour choices of blue and white. I used one of the Rachelle Anne Miller stamps called Flaky Friends.

Jellypark Friends Challenges - Christmas in July

PWCO Colour Challenge # 4

Still playing along with the PaperWorks Challenges and this card was made using Danielle's colours (White, Gold & Wine). I used Zach the basketball player for this card.

Sketch - Sweet Sketch Wednesday

PWCO Colour Challenge # 3

Here's the card I made for Corinne's colour challenge (Pink, Orange & Pistachio) over at PaperWorks. I used one of their cute Abigail stamps.

PWCO Colour Challenge # 8

PaperWorks just had their newest release and each DT member posted a colour challenge based on their choice in wedding colours. I got busy playing along, and this is what I came up with for Steph's challenge. She wanted us to use purple, black and white. I decided to make a bookmark using Zoe the Zebra. You can tell I was tired at this point because, it's pretty plain and my brain couldn't come up with a way of making it look better. It was after 1am when I made this and it was the last of the 4 projects I made last night.

Happy Birthday to My 4 year old!

Today is my son's birthday and he's turning 4! He requested a card with a purple dinosaur, so here's what I created for him. While I was at it, I decided to cater to a few challenges and one of them was to use a technique that I hadn't done in a while and so I chose to play with my brayer. I haven't used that in a year or more, but I really like how the background turned out. I coloured the image, which is another adorable fairy stamp from Paper Makeup Stamps called Carter the Dino fairy, with Copics.

Bright and Sunny Abigail

I had a chance to make a card tonight so I decided to play with one of my Abigail stamps from PaperWorks Co. The one I used is called "He Loves Me?". I also played along with one of their recipe challenges for this month. The great thing about the PaperWorks challenges are that even though new challenges get posted every week, you still get the whole month to complete any of the challenges! The sketch I used is this weeks Sweet Sketch Wednesday sketches.

Copics Used:
E000, E00, E11, E97, E99, G28, G24, R20, RV10, RV21, RV23, RV25, Y00, Y02, Y04, Y11, Y21

School Girl Fairy

I wanted to play along in the Paper Makeup Challenge from the release party and I got a chance to create last night. I decided to CASE one of Janette's cards. I used School Girl Fairy for this card and plan to use it for one of my kids teachers next year. I coloured her with Copics and added stickles to her wings to make them sparkle.

Another bookmark

I made this bookmark for my daughter. She requested an image of a fairy holding a flower and so I used this lovely stamp from Paper Makeup Stamps called Rose Fairy.

Bookmark for my Nephew

This is nothing fancy, but since it's a bookmark I figured it wouldn't be practical to add too many embellishments to it. I made this for my nephew using "Dylan" from Paper Makeup Stamps. They just had a new release and posted a couple challenges, and one of the challenges was to create something with a nautical theme.

I haven't inked up any Whiff of Joy stamps in a while, but I really wanted to play with one of my newest ones. This cutie is called Miss Ladybugs. I coloured her with Copics and the paper is from Basic Grey. Purple and yellow are my two favorite colours, so I thought I'd make a card using them together.

PWCO Sketch Challenge # 85

Here's a little card I made for my niece who is turning 6 on Tuesday. I used one of the cute Abigail C stamps from PaperWorks Co and entered their sketch challenge. PaperWorks is now giving people until the end of the month to enter their challenges, so this extra time should allow me to play more often! I coloured the image with Copics and for the strip of embossed cardstock, I inked up the embossing folder with brown ink to achieve the two coloured effect.

Beautiful Silver Fairy

Normally I don't like to use digi stamps as much as the rubber, but when I saw some of the new images from Wee Stamps I just HAD to make an exception! This one is called Silver Fairy and she's so gorgeous and super fun to colour. I coloured her with Copics and added stickles to her wings to make then sparkle. I used the Sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday, but I reversed it.

I finally had time to play!!

So here's my first card since November :) I decided to play with my Japanese Tilda stamp and make a nice bright cheerful card to share with you all since my long creative absence. I added some sparkle to Tilda's flowers with pink stickles, but they don't show in the photo. I also inked the edges with CTMH Bubblegum ink. The shape I used is a Spellbinders Labels 14. I coloured with Copics and the paper is from the Basic Grey Lemonade collection.

I'm still alive!

I bet some of you are wondering what the heck happened to me! Well I have found that since becoming pregnant I just haven't had the energy to craft in the evenings like I used to :(

I am really missing it though and have even managed to
create a few scrapbook LOs (no pics to share though, sorry). Anyway, I am determinded to get creative this weekend, so stay tuned because I just might have something to show for it posted here soon!!

In the meantime I just had to share with you the new collection from PWCO that was just released yesterday. Aren't they adorable! You can get the whole set for $33.75, or $6.25 each one. You can find them HERE

And in case you wanted to see some amazing examples using these stamps by the PWCO DT, check out the blog hop they had starting HERE.
