Gina K Challenge

I love GinaK Designs and she has a challenge right now with a chance to be a guest designer!!!! The challenge is to use 2 of the Spring colours with one of her latest release stamp sets. I used the rolling marbles technique to create the blue design on the brown cardstock. I used my versamark re-inker and poured blue embossing powder all over the cardstock and then embossed it with my heat gun. I also painted the butterfly with crystal accents to give it a shine and to make it more rigid. This card also was made for our Crafty Critter challenge this week to use brown and circles (there are circles in the designer paper) and to follow a sketch.

Stamps - Hope is Faith and Lovely Labels
Copics- BV000, BV01, BV02, BV04, G20, R81, R83
Cardstock - GinaK Designs Ocean Mist and Lovely Lavender
Designer Paper is from Close to My Heart

Let's Go Skiing!

I keep looking at these beautiful inked backgrounds and thinking “I’ve got to try that some day” so when I got this cute Zoe the Skier stamp from PaperWorks Co I decided to ink her up some snow. This card was really out of my comfort zone, because I’m usually a lots of layers kind of girl, but I’m really happy with the outcome! It’s always fun to try new techniques. I also used Liquid Applique for the first time too, to make her hat look fluffy. All the supplies I used for this card can be found at PaperWorks Co.

Copics: BG10, BG09, BG07, BG05, C3, C1, E 33, E31, E29, E25, E11, E00, E000, R29, R27, R24, R22, R20

Liquid Applique – White

Tulle – Splash

Button – Yellow

Dye Inks: Beige, Yellow, Light Blue and Medium Blue

You're a Superstar!

I keep reaching for that Jillibean Soup designer paper lately and this time I tried my hand at paper piecing with it. I thought Zach would be the type of guy to have a cool design on his helmet and a jersey to match! The other thing I’ve gotten hooked on is Smooch! I used gold Smooch for the reflectors on his helmet, jersey and socks. Mostly everything on this card you'll find at PaperWorks Co. I CASED Julie's card and used the sketch for the first challenge on Critter Sketch Challenge Blog.

Materials Used:

Copics: C9, C5, C3, E55, E31, E29, E25, E11, E00, E000, R29, R27, R24, R22

All that glitters...

…is gold. At least that what Zoe is hoping to get after her figure skating routine in the Olympics. I thought Zoe would look pretty with her dress and hair bows made with stickles. See how she sparkles! For the background I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder to make the embossed snowflakes and I used Basic Grey Blue Moon designer paper from the Lime Rickey Collection and cut along the curved outlines in the pattern. I then used stickles along the edge and around Zoe’s Ice. Zoe and almost all of the materials I used can be found at PaperWorks Co.

Materials Used:

Copics: R20, E000, E00, E11, E13, E17, E18, E19, C3, C00, B0000, B00

Cuttlebug A2 Embossing Folder – Snowflakes

Basic Grey Lime Rickey Designer Paper – Blue Moon

Stickles – Ruby Slippers & Silver

Inky Impressions Challenge

Ok so I have to admit to you all that I bought myself some of these adorable stamps from Inky Impressions a few months ago and this is the first chance I've had to use one. Shame on me, I know! Anyway, I made this card following the Inky Impressions challenge to use pink and have a heart or hearts somewhere on the card. My heart is the ribbon slider which I got from my secret crafty sister Jennifer! I also followed the sketch from this weeks StampTV sketch challenge.

The Designer Papers, cardstock and ribbon are from Stampin Up, I coloured with Copics, inked the edge with CTMH ink and the pearls are from PaperWorks Co.
